Observing the 9th death Anniversary of Former Vice Chancellor of MU Late Prof. M Habibur Rahman

“Professor M Habibur Rahman was an outspoken, liberal and a Bengali soul. He had endless effort in the development of our society. He was also a good writer, sociologist and researcher. He was the true teacher who works for his country till the death. At present a lot of teachers or Vice Chancellors are envolved with politics for their personal purpose but Prof. Habibur Rahman was out of all these individual interest.”

Says, Dr. Toufique Rahman Chowdhury (Chairman, Board of Trustees) on a discussion while observing the 9th death anniversary of Former Vice Chancellor of Metropolitan University Late Prof. M Habibur Rahman.

Pro- Vice Chancellor of university Professor Shiba Prashad Sen says, “Prof. Habibur Rahman was a liable intellectuals, uncompromising to justice and we are inspired by him.” He also advised students to follow the ideology of Prof. M Habibur Rahman.

Mr. Enamul Habib the eldest son of Prof. M Habibur Rahman also attends the discussion. He conveys gratitude to University authority for commemorating his father and naming the library hall after the name of his father.

Besides Khandker Mahmudur Rahman (Treasurer), Barrister M Arosh Ali (Dean, School of Law), Professor Suresh Ranjan Basak (Dean, School of Humanities & Social Sciences), Professor Md. Taher Billal Khalifa (Dean, School of Bus. & Economics), Chowdhury M. Mukammel Wahid (Dean, School of Science & Technology), Rabiul Hossain (Professor, Dept. of Law & Justice) and Md. Abbas Uddin (Assistan Proctor) commemorate Professor M. Habibur Rahman in their speech.

Discussion was hosted by the deputy registrar of the University Mr. Mihir Kanti Chowdhury.

Later on a special munajat was arranged seeking eternal peace of the departed soul of Professor M. Habibur Rahman.
